Classes are limited to a maximum of ten levels. Critters are the only “class” to surpass ten levels; nevertheless, thirty is maximum for all but a full-blown god. Ergo, there could be 11th, 25th, or even 30th critters abound).

Gadgeteers Learn a new “magic” power automatically whenever they gain a level. This power must have a rank equal to or below half their new level rounded up.
Grifters Get a + 3 to Charisma rolls at 1st level. This increases by + 1 at 5th level and every 5 levels afterwards.
Gunslingers Get an + 1 bonus to damage with guns at 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 9th levels.
Lawmen Get a + 1 bonus to all defenses. This increases by + 1 at 3rd level and every 3 levels on.
Mavericks Upgrade 2 primary skills instead of 1.
Mentalists learn a new power automatically whenever they gain a level. This power must have a rank equal to or below half their new level rounded up.
Preachers Learn a new power automatically whenever they gain a level. This power must have a rank equal to or below half their new level rounded up.
Ruffians Have a special Dirty Fighting attack. It does 1d6 + STR damage at 1st level and increases to 1d8 + STR at 3rd, 1d10 + STR as 6th, and 1d12 + STR at 9th level.
Scoundrels Gain an extra + 1 bonus to Sneaky at 3rd, 6th, and 9th levels.
Scouts May find a wild animal to tame at 3rd level. They mu st tame it by themselves. This animal, if its level is lower than the scout’s, will gain a level every time the scout gains a level. In addition, this animal will gain + 1 to its MIND at the scout’s 5th and 8th levels.
Shamans Learn a new power automatically whenever they gain a level. This power must have a rank equal to or below half their new level rounded up.

Some adventures may see fit wear more than one hat. If you live long enough to be 4th level, you may find yer head big enough to wear a second hat (eg, achieve 4th in your first profession, you can pick up levels in a different one). Adding a third hat requires achieving 9th level in one or the other class; a player character is max’d out at thirty levels.

Sometimes, mimicking something you read about takes two classes combined to best simulate it- say, a Jedi Knight might best be represented by levels of Mentalist, Shaman, and Lawman.
